Lauren Snyder
Lauren is called upon regularly to design high level, global strategy and design solution for brands in the hospitality, wellness and entertainment industries. She has served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas, where she completely redesigned the 360 degree brand strategy and representation of the resort, including planning, development and execution of all marketing, advertising, public relations, internal and external communications and on property initiatives. She and her cross- functional team used their efforts to rebrand the 20-year-old iconic destination through the development of paid, owned and earned brand strategy, original content development, brand partnerships, television and film programming, elevated cultural and marine initiatives and focus on cultivation of the brand’s mission and vision across various platforms including television, digital, OTT, mobile and social media, all to drive sustained and +45% YOY bottom line results in only ten months.
Lauren has served as the Interim Chief Marketing Officer at Morgans Hotel Group where she was responsible for reinventing the media landscape on behalf of the existing Morgan’s global portfolio properties and those in development. Lauren began her career in hospitality working for Loews Hotels. She changed the landscape of the hospitality industry over her seven and a half years as Executive Vice President, Chief Brand and Communications Officer at Kerzner International, where she worked directly with the late Sol Kerzner and his extraordinary son, Butch Kerzner, on the development of the Atlantis and One&Only brands worldwide. In her various roles at the company, she repositioned Atlantis, Paradise Island, led the creative team on development of advertising campaigns for company’s resort and casino properties around the world, developed and launched all brand touchpoints for The Cove at Atlantis, Paradise Island and built licensed brand partnerships, including the creation of the LEGO Brands LEGO Atlantis collection. Under her leadership, she led the worldwide team to launch and sustain occupancy for Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai including strategic positioning for the largest launch event in the world. Her market expertise spans North America, the Middle East (GCC), Europe, APAC and South Africa.
Lauren has also served in various senior strategic roles across the media and entertainment industry including IPG Mediabrands, Interpublic Group’s media holding company, where her work with Google, AOL, Yahoo!, Facebook and the top social and digital players placed her at the forefront of the programmatic and content driven media universe. At an earlier point in her career, she was a Senior Vice President at Gemstar-TV Guide where she ushered in the digital cable era and the first e-books. The passion to create and to literally “change the game” began at Edelman where she ran the global media team, managed the consumer visibility and integrated marketing programs for Microsoft, IMAX, DreamWorks SKG and conceived and created the agency’s first entertainment marketing division. Lauren was one of the first executives to implement true integrated entertainment marketing and has utilized film, television, talent and publishing to introduce brands to consumers in meaningful ways, including the development of multiple prime time television episodes for clients across the big three networks.
Lauren was born, raised and still resides in Manhattan with her husband and two teenage sons. She is a graduate of Brandeis University and The University of Copenhagen. Her studies of International Photojournalism and Fine Arts have helped to fuel her creative passion.
